UTAH COUNTY JUSTICE COURT - DRUG COURT
Drug Court Phases:

  • 12 month maximum for all phases (if not graduated in 12-months abeyance is not successfully
    completed).
  • 26 week (6 months) minimum for all phases.
  • Upon successful completion of phase I, and with permission of the court, defendants progress to
    phase II and graduate after successfully completing phase II.
  • Below specified tasks are minimum requirements for each phase.
  • Phase I does not begin until defendant provides an approved substance abuse evaluation to the
    court.
  • Estimated drug court fee is $300.00.

Phase I Tasks, 8 weeks (Minimum)

  • Report to case manager in person at least once per week.
  • Attend alcohol/drug counseling/treatment as indicated by the substance abuse evaluation.
  • Submit to random urinalysis and if appropriate, BAC tests at least once per week.
  • Attend Drug Court at least once per week.
  • Attend Life skills, job skills, etc. classes as directed.
  • Pay a minimum of $50.00 of the Drug Court fee per month.
  • Maintain approved employment, training or education totaling a 40-hour-work week.
  • Have 30 continuous days of sobriety.

Phase II Tasks, 18 weeks (Minimum)

  • Report to case manager in person at least twice per month.
  • Attend alcohol/drug counseling/treatment as indicated by the substance abuse evaluation.
  • Submit to random urinalysis and if appropriate, BAC tests once per week.
  • Attend Drug Court at least twice per month.
  • Attend life skills, job skills etc. classes as directed.
  • Pay a minimum of $50.00 of the Drug Court Fee per month until paid in full.
  • Maintain approved employment, training or education totaling a 40-hour work week.
  • Have 60 continuous days of sobriety.
